Pablo Zabaleta sorry to West Ham fans after Oxford Carabao Cup exit

After the club have been humiliated in a 4-0 from defeat to Oxford pablo Zabaleta has apologised to West Ham supporters.
A 2-0 win over Manchester United lifted West Ham to fifth in the Premier League on Sunday but they were outclassed by a negative 12th at Sky Bet League One, crashing from the next round on Wednesday.
West Ham conceded four times after the 55th minute with Shandon Baptiste, Matty Taylor, Tariqe Fosu and Elliott Moore on goal at a rocking Kassam Stadium and managed just three attempts on goal.
“Sorry to the outside fans who came to the match because obviously we do not need our fans to see this sort of operation,” Zabaleta, who was captain at night, told the club website.
“If you examine the performance tonight, then it is not been anywhere near our regular and also in how we dropped wasn’t excellent. It was a terrible night.”
West Ham combined London rivals Tottenham, defeated by Colchester on Bournemouth Tuesday and Sheffield United because top-flight scalps for lower league competitions in the contest.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini praised Oxford’s display as his side’s six-match unbeaten run ended suddenly.
“Should you give them time and space all of them are great players. They scored four goalsthey had other chances and I think we just created one at the first ten minutes of the game and one in the previous moment,” Pellegrini said.

Oxford manager Karl Robinson has standing in the Carabao Cup with masterminded a win over Manchester United when accountable for MK Dons.
